Summary
McLean Ross are currently working with an International leader in the energy sector, they offer green energy and energy solutions to both retail and commercial clients. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead their Northern territory; developing business and establishing a sales team.

The Client
As a leader in Global energy solutions, our client has offices around the globe. They are building a global brand and due to this they are looking to expand their sales team within the UK.

The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you are one of two professionals who are tasked with spearheading the existing sales growth with either brokers or through direct channels, and exploring entry into new markets with new products.

You will identify target accounts that require energy products and value added services, and building relationships with key decision makers and partners. You will also be responsible for a team of office based sales staff who will support pricing and negotiation of business on a day to day basis.

Due to the nature of this role you will require superior client care and regular contact with both current and prospective clients and partners. You will also identify new business opportunities, build business cases and then deliver the opportunity to translate into new incremental revenue.

The Individual
You will be an energetic, proven and positive business professional with a grasp on the economics of energy and associated markets, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on an ambitious and growing organisation. Furthermore you will;
•    Will have a strong sales background within previous experience in the Utilities/ Energy sector.
•    Ideally have a demonstrable track record of success with B2B sales.
•    Capable of demonstrating previously achieving successful account management performance.
•    Experience of managing people and growing successfully sales teams.
