China’s first commercialised energy storage system has been completed.

Narada Power Source successfully installed the 1.5MW battery network for GCL Silicon.

It will allow GCL Silicon to better manage its ‘behind-the-meter’ management of power by enabling peak shaving, frequency control and a more reliable supply of electricity.

Narada handled the design, procurement and construction of the project and will be involved in its maintenance and operations in the future.

The company is now working on another large-scale Chinese energy storage project, which will have a total capacity of 15MW.
