New Energy Investment (NEI), a Goldman Sachs firm, is selling 6.3% of its stake in DONG Energy.
The Danish utility states NEI has agreed to dispose of 26.5 million of its shares to “certain institutional investors”, each with a value of DKK10 (£1.16).
That leaves NEI with a 7% stake in DONG Energy.
The news comes after DONG Energy reported an increase in profits last year.
The Goldman Sachs Group plans to invest $150 billion (£120.6bn) in clean energy by 2025.
Last week DONG Energy said it plans to phase out the use of coal in the next six years.
