Shell Energy Deutschland has announced it will be offering electricity to industrial customers in Germany this year.

In recent years, the company, part of Shell Energy Europe, has introduced solutions for natural gas supply.

Giorgia Arnaboldi, Managing Director for Shell Energy Deutschland said: “The addition of physical power supply to our offerings, which we aim to begin offering later this year, enables us to provide even more cross-commodity solutions for our industrial customers.”

Shell Energy Europe is present in 14 European power markets and is also active in interconnection across Europe.

Last year Shell said it would create a separate division focused on renewable energy and low carbon projects.
