Millennials are getting savvy when it comes to switching energy companies to save costs.
Around 32% switched suppliers in the last 12 months, according to a new survey.
It also found more than two in five of the 2,000 people questioned don’t know or understand their energy tariffs and one in five have stayed loyal to their supplier for more than a decade.
Baby boomers were most likely to stick with what they know, with 26.4% loyal to their provider.
The survey by price comparison site Finder reveals consumers could save up to £231 a year on average by switching suppliers.
