Siemens has announced a series of partnerships to focus on energy saving digital innovations in Asia.

The firm has agreed to create Hong Kong’s first smart city digital hub, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Science Park.

This hub will use a cloud-based Internet of Things (IoT) operating system from Siemens to share expertise and information on an interactive platform.

The firm is also partnering with the Chinese Government and a range of universities to address challenges such as traffic congestion, greenhouse gas emissions and improving energy efficiency by installing smart infrastructure in cities across the country.
