Triodos Bank is providing £17.9 million worth of loans to refinance two solar farms in the UK.

It will support Spanish developer Gamma Solutions’ 15MW Stokes Marsh and 5MW Stoneshill solar farms located near Coulston in Wiltshire and Exeter in Devon.

With more than 62,000 panels installed, they generate enough electricity to power more than 5,000 homes and reduce around 7,700 tonnes of carbon emissions.

The solar farms, commissioned in March 2015 and March 2017, are eligible for Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs) and backed by power purchase agreements.
