Siemens Gamesa has won an order to supply turbines for a wind farm in Norway.

The onshore Nordicht wind project is said to be one of Europe’s largest developments, with a total capacity of 281.4MW.

Siemens Gamesa will provide 67 turbines for the wind farm, which will supply clean electricity to around 50,000 homes.

All units are to be equipped to support site-specific wind speeds and cold climate conditions, with de-icing technology and digital load control.
