Our client are a leading Renewable Energy supplier across the UK. Recently they have received investment from Europe, as a result they are looking to expand the Smart Energy team across the UK, due to the successful bidding of new projects. This growth has led to the need of a Smart Energy Strategy Manager for their UK operations. Preferably based in the South, they are looking for a candidate who can also make it into the office 3 days a week minimum.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead on two externally funded projects to explore the commercialisation of consumer demand flexibility products
  • Analyse and understand our consumers from a product perspective and identify appropriate means to deliver to customer needs
  • Engage, and work with the different functions throughout the business to ensure customers centred methods are embedded in propositions and product development, providing support and expert knowledge to aid in areas identified not to be focused on this
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders throughout the business and build strong reciprocal relationships, becoming the known and recognised expert within your field
  • Develop a business model canvas for consumer flexibility products and services, gaining key stakeholder commitment and ‘buy in’ for implementation

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience designing and facilitating proposition and product development activities
  • Proven experience in effectively managing external partnerships
  • Technical knowledge of demand side response, operability of green electricity, energy storage and smart technologies
  • A good understanding and practical application of business strategy tools, processes and frameworks
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly advanced analytical skills
  • Proven experience in analysing the commercial impact of emerging business models and technologies
  • University degree in business oriented subjects
