The variable rate ‘Charge EV’ tariff is offering customers 1,200 free miles every year – in the form of credit on the account totalling £43.64 – and £40 discount on charging points.
Customers will receive 600 miles – equivalent to £21.82 – up to 30 days after they have signed up, then every six months they remain on the tariff.
Government statistics last year revealed ultra-low emission vehicles registrations were up a record 27%, i.e. more than 53,000 green cars, which means there were 200,000 EVs on UK roads at the start of this year.
Product Director Steve Springett said: “It’s really encouraging to see the increase in the popularity of EVs, it demonstrates that people are not just engaging with the bigger environmental picture, they are actively looking to be part of it.
“We want to support people who make greener choices and our EV tariff not only does this but it also rewards them for choosing an EV in the first place.”
