Energy switching back to low levels after short bounce

Energy switches in November were nearly 24% less than October’s activity, according to a report

The number of energy supplier switches dropped back to the low average in November.

That’s according to the latest figures by ElectraLink which shows November’s changes of supplier (CoS) fell to 113,000, 24% less than the estimated 149,000 switches that took place in October.

Analysts suggest mass contract expirations drove a spike in switches in October 2022.

The total of CoS recorded in November was also 14% lower than the same month in 2o21.
