Grant Shapps, the UK Energy Security Secretary, is set to deliver a powerful message to leaders in Washington DC today, emphasising the relentless efforts of the UK in driving Putin out of global energy markets and ensuring that countries are never again held hostage by tyrants over energy supplies.

Shapps, who is currently on a four-day visit to the US, will engage in meetings with influential figures including Secretary for Energy Jennifer Granholm of the Biden administration, as well as California Governor Gavin Newsom.

As part of his visit, Shapps will also address the Atlantic Council, where he will focus on the imperative of strengthening collaboration between the UK and the US in the realm of energy security.
