British Gas customers to get half price electricity tomorrow

British Gas will offer some of its customers half price electricity tomorrow.

This is part of a Green Flex event, which will take place from 11am to 1pm.

The event coincides with expected windy conditions, which will result in an increase in renewable energy generation.

The Green Flex events are part of British Gas’s PeakSave scheme, which provides half price electricity to customers during periods when there is a surplus of renewable energy, such as on sunny or windy days.

PeakSave was introduced to help customers use energy more wisely.

Customers were contacted today with the option to participate in the event.

To date, British Gas has paid over £11 million to more than 600,000 customers who have participated in the scheme.
