Europe opens up clean energy funding

Up to £500K available for clean start ups and university projects across Europe

Entrepreneurs and businesses with low carbon ideas can now apply for an extra pot of EU funds.

Applications are now open for innovators in the field of low-carbon energy through EUROGIA2030, a prominent EUREKA Cluster dedicated to achieving carbon neutrality.

This initiative provides ups to £500,000 in funding for research and development projects that advance carbon-free energy solutions, support a sustainable environment, mitigate climate change, and drive sustainable growth.

The initiative is particularly interested in:

  • Carbon-free energy supply – Hydrogen, renewables, and energy storage solutions
  • Green mobility and smart cities – EV infrastructure, sustainable transport
  • Smarter housing and construction – Energy-efficient buildings, digital twin technology
  • Bio-resources and environment – CO₂ capture, circular economy solutions

Successful applicants will receive up to £500,000 per project for a duration of 12 to 36 months. The deadline to apply is 24 April 2025.

Who is eligible to apply?

Startups, established companies, research institutions and universities from EUREKA member countries looking to scale their energy innovations. International collaborations are required.
