The negotiation process will maintain core objectives, which include promoting clean growth and supporting the sector’s transition to low carbon
Globally, an additional 200GW of new offshore wind energy capacity is forecast to be added by 2030
The deal means offshore wind will provide a third of the UK’s electricity by 2030
The move aims to make the building industry more efficient and productive, as well as cut energy bills across the country
Business and Energy Secretary Greg Clark said the move would drive down energy costs, reduce emissions and improve resilience
The industry hopes to deliver £48 billion investment in infrastructure and support 26,000 skilled jobs across the country
