You may have noticed our changed header today, I’m delighted to announce Energy Live News is up for a major media award.

ELN has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Specialist News Site category at the Online Media Awards 2014. The award recognises a website which has excelled in covering a particular subject area and will reward the “boldest and best online news based creativity” as such we are really proud to be considered.

We’re up against some tough competition from the likes of the Financial Times and Al Jazeera amongst others, so for a privately owned, independent website like ours to be a finalist, is a great testament to the quality of news we provide.

Wish us luck for the awards night next month but whether we win or not, I am very proud of the news we write and the quality of journalism and film making we pride ourselves on.
