Intergrow Greenhouses is located in Upstate New York and, from 1998, is a greenhouse tomatoes grower into the american market.

All the water used to feed the plants is recycled and, in the winter time, is used natural gas and biomass for heating. In this way the CO2 captured from boilers is feeded into the greenhouse reaching an increased yield.

When it was decided to go to artificial grow lights, AB installed an island mode 2.4 MW Jenbacher engine.

Regarding the results, electricity was used for one section of the greenhouse to power the lights, while the heat stored was useful during the night or in case of colder termperatures.

The reason for choosing this solution was the installation because of the easy commissioning and the sound isolated container.
