A Spanish wind turbine company, has secured two new agreements to supply turbines in parts of India.

Under the first agreement, Gamesa will install 80 wind turbines for Greenko, an Indian green energy company, that will generate a total of 200MW of electricity.

The company will provide 30 turbines to the Jaisalmer region, in the state of Rajasthan and another 50 at Basavanabagewadi in Karnataka state. It is expected to be commissioned by June this year.

It’s part of a new framework agreement to commission 300MW wind power projects in India, signed by both companies.

The second agreement is between Gamesa and CLP India, a wind power developer, for the construction of a 100MW wind farm.
