A UK energy consultancy has announced the purchase of a similar business.

Green Energy Consulting said the transaction is part of the company’s national growth strategy.

It works with clients such as Christian Dior, H&M and BP on all energy issues from procurement through to implementing energy management and consumption reduction strategies.

It has bought Energy Management Services (EMS), an independent consultancy and brokerage in the regulated and deregulated electricity and natural gas markets.

The acquisition is expected to help Green Energy Consulting move into new markets, including the agricultural, holiday village and caravan sectors.

Kilian Coyne, Director at Green Energy Consulting said: “The aim of both companies has always been and will continue to be about securing the most competitive energy contracts with energy suppliers across the UK and as companies strive to become more sustainable, we will guarantee supplying the most cost effective solution to deliver tangible cost savings for our clients.”
