Norwegian renewable energy company Statkraft has signed two Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) to take electricity from a pair of British wind farms owned by investment firm John Laing.
Statkraft will buy all power generated at the 14.4MW Burton Wold wind farm near Kettering and the 15.3MW Carscreugh wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway for the next 15 years.
Ross McArthur, Managing Director for Renewable Energy at John Laing said: “We have worked with Statkraft on a number of our onshore wind farms and the company has proved to be a strong and reliable partner in our success within the onshore wind market.”
Statkraft already has two 15-year agreements with John Laing for wind farms in Pembrokeshire and Nottinghamshire, signed in 2012.
