Summary

Our client are a global leader in both industrial and commercial energy supply, they are dedicated to producing not only renewable power but also increasingly low cost energy solutions. As their business continues to expand in the UK, they are looking for a driven, hard-working individual to join their commercial sales team. This individual will quickly become a key asset to the company’s success, leading a dynamic team of individual account managers and encouraging them to deliver results through organisation and motivation.

The Role

  • Day-to-day management of a commercial sales team of around 8 account managers; working with team members to attain set sales’ targets
  • Continual coaching and development of team members, ensuring that your team is operating in line with company expectations, delivering a high level of customer service
  • Regular progress reports presented to head of commercial scales, using this process to identify areas of potential improvement and striving to achieve this
  • Engage with key internal business areas to ensure the company continues to gain a reputation of professionalism amongst their clients; build and maintain relationships
  • Identify and develop a sales strategy that is attainable and conducive to business growth
  • Management of team workloads; ensuring that price deadlines are met
  • Responsible for maintaining team morale in order to achieve sales targets

The Individual

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any discipline
  • Experience working in the B2B Utility Industry, with a good understanding of sales and team management. Knowledge of the UK TPI market is preferable
  • Experience working in a sales environment, able to work towards sales targets and create an environment in which team members are pushed to achieve this
  • Analytical approach to problem solving; confident working with large volumes of data
  • Well-organised and able to make decisions under pressure
  • Self-autonomous and able to demonstrate ability to lead a team, developing individuals into excellent sales people
  • Excellent communicator, both with clients and colleagues
  • Proficient with Powerpoint and Excel
  • Attention to detail with a drive to be successful is imperative
