Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure anticipates “sustainable long-term cash-flows”

Tokyo-based Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure, the investment arm of Daiwa Securities Group, has acquired a minority stake in Hornsea One, the largest operating offshore wind project in the world.

The project comprises 174 turbines across approximately 407 square kilometres and has a generation capacity of 1.2GW.

The acquisition marks Daiwa’s first investment in an offshore wind project.

Located off the Yorkshire coast in the North Sea, Hornsea One, which is operated by Orsted, generates enough energy to power one million homes.
