With news headlines still dominated by the coronavirus crisis, energy users could be forgiven for thinking energy is off the government’s radar screen at the moment.
They include the T-1 auction planned for January 2021 and the T-4 auction for February 2021
It aims to remove the barriers for significant deployment of offshore wind projects across the UK
That’s the suggestion from Energy Minister Kwasi Kwarteng, who said this would also help stop 22m tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions entering the atmosphere
The Energy Minister noted the UK has already cut carbon dioxide emissions by around 45% since 1990, despite the economy growing by two-thirds over this time
Around 11m households on default tariffs saved between £75 to £100 on their dual fuel bills
