Jacqueline Gibson

Environmental Advisor, Blenheim Palace

Born in West Africa and growing up between Northern Ireland and Zambia, has certainly shaped Jacqueline’s vision of a fair, just and ecologically rich world for all.  With a BSc in Sustainable Development, her career has spanned environmental consultancy with Manchester United FC and front-line illegal UK fisheries patrols, to award winning recognition with one of the UK’s largest construction companies and ecotourism in Slovenia and Zambia National Parks.

Working at Blenheim for over two years, in a part time role, she has engaged and inspired staff, visitors and trustees of the Palace to become a sustainable leader across other Treasure Houses of England.  With a range of EVs, phasing out plastics, switching to a 100% green energy provider, introducing a revolutionary way of handling waste on site by hand, and achieving an 87% spend within 20 miles of the palace, she is committed to making Blenheim Britain’s Greenest Palace.

Last September she was invited by the Russian Federation to attend their second Climate Forum in Moscow and encouraged the Mayor of Tarusa (a city 90 Miles south of Moscow) to become the first in Russia to recycle household waste!
