Yü Energy CEO, Bobby Kalar, has recently been awarded the prestigious ‘Executive Director of the Year’ award at this year’s NEX Exchange Small Cap Awards which took place on 14th June 2018. Only adding to their growing recognition, the Nottingham based Company also took home the ‘AIM Company of the Year’ award at last night’s UK Stock Market Awards.

The Midlands-based business energy provider released unprecedented year-end results for 2017 and have substantially grown both their offering and presence over the past 12 months. The CEO’s recent award win only adds to a long list of recent growth and service-centred achievements for the Company and their Nottingham HQ.

The NEX Exchange Small Cap Awards

The NEX Exchange Small Cap Awards celebrates the small cap markets and the achievements within it. Into their 6th year, they take into account progression within the industry and commitment to growth. Small Cap UK is the home for events in the UK Small Cap and Micro Cap community focusing on companies quoted on ISDX and AIM with a sub £100m market cap.

UK Stock Market Awards

The UK Stock Market Awards are now in their 8th year and are firmly established as one of the leading awards ceremonies for UK publicly listed companies and the individuals behind them. The awards recognise and reward all that is great about publicly-listed British firms, the equity market which they choose to operate within and their contribution to the United Kingdom’s economy.

Bobby Kalar has previously stated that the people of the business and their commitment to transparent customer service above all else is what sets Yü Energy apart.

“Customer service has been at the forefront of company growth from the very beginning,” says CEO Bobby Kalar, “based on my previous disappointment with energy offerings as a business owner, I thought that there must be a better way of servicing companies. We always want to ensure that our customer service remains paramount to our offering, and for our ethos to be scalable as we reach businesses across the UK with our service.”

Recently, the company has announced an extension of its business utilities offering with the introduction of Yü Water. This new service offering launched with selected customers in Spring 2018 ahead of a national roll out later this year, after the company gained its Water Supply Licence in late 2017. Alongside that, the team has branched into a new office in the centre of Leicester, offering a further 30 new sales positions. They have also maintained substantial growth within the Nottingham head office, having increased their team from 72 staff in 2016 to 110 by the end of 2017 – and are still growing.
