Renewable energy investor Glennmont Partners has bought a biomass power project in the UK for £160 million.

ECO2 and Western Log Group sold the Margam Green Energy Project in Port Talbot, Wales to London-based Glennmont Partners.

The plant, which will have a total capacity of 40MW, is expected to start operating in March 2017.

It will use waste wood from Stobart Biomass Products under a long-term fuel supply contract.
