The GMB union has put a strike ballot among offshore workers on hold as more talks are to be held.

The dispute is over changes to working conditions for employees covered by the Offshore Contractors Agreement (OCA) in UK waters.

In Aberdeen yesterday, both sides put forward proposals and agreed to take the proposals away to consider them before the next talk on 20th May.

David Hulse, GMB National Officer said: “Both unions also agreed to put on hold the ballot for strike action to allow time for the negotiations.”
