EDF Energy Services has agreed to buy Imtech UK and Ireland in a bid to expand its business services.

The joint venture between EDF Energy and Dalkia will combine the expertise of the three companies to help businesses access a wider range of innovative solutions.

Imtech is an engineering services company and provides technical services to construction, industrial, commercial and public sector clients in the UK and Ireland.

The combined expertise of the three firms is also expected to help the company apply the latest technologies and offer innovative services that deliver improved energy efficiencies in industrial and commercial facilities.

That’s for every stage from initial design and build, operation and maintenance through to control of energy.

Vincent de Rivaz, CEO of EDF Energy said: “As the UK’s leading generator of low carbon electricity and a major supplier to businesses, the addition of Imtech is a significant step in the development of energy services and low carbon solutions for our valued customers.”
