An investment group has launched a fund to invest in renewable energy equities and bonds.

Foresight Group’s new release will target an annual income of 5% per annum with a minimum investment of £1,000 or £100 per month for regular savings.

It aims to make the most of UK growth in renewable energy and infrastructure investment – the forecast for the next eight years shows a 27% increase in cumulative clean generation.

The investment firm says the sector is suitable for investment as it has stable and predictable demand, high barriers to entry and long term contracted revenue streams.

It says a third of financial advisers are looking to increase their clients’ renewable investments over the next three years.

Jamie Richards, Partner at Foresight, said: “The new FP Foresight UK Infrastructure Income Fund enables investors to capitalise on a thriving energy sector, which offers numerous investment opportunities across generation, transmission and distribution technologies.”
