A driving training course has been launched this week for oil and gas workers and their families employed in the Middle East.
A third of all serious road accidents in the region involve those who are on their way to and from work. It is estimated that these accidents cost billions every year to the oil and gas industries.
The new course is also available to the families of oil and gas workers in places such as the Qatar and UAE.
Natavan Askerova, account director for Atlas said: “Driving is considered the most dangerous life critical activity in the worldwide oil and gas industry – with risks significantly higher on construction projects.”
The course will look at things such as language, attitude and safety on roads in the Middle East.
