The election has given us a decisive Tory government but who takes over now Ed Davey has gone? Who will be the new Energy Secretary and will DECC even survive as a government department?

ELN has been speaking to Angela Knight former CEO of Energy UK who thinks both Matthew Hancock and Amber Rudd have a good chance of getting the top job.

But she questions whether DECC itself, which was created under the Blair Labour government, would even continue to exist or be absorbed into the department of Business Innovation and Skills.
