Around 1.91 million energy efficiency measures were installed at the end of April.

They were installed in around 1.53 million properties through the Energy Company Obligation (ECO), Green Deal and the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund schemes, according to new data released by DECC.

The largest amount of measures – 96%- were installed through the ECO programme.

That scheme implemented more than 1.8 million measures by the end of April. Around 36% were for cavity wall insulation, 25% for loft insulation and 22% for boiler upgrades.

Green Deal

More than 657,000 Green Deal assessments were lodged up to the end of May 2016.

Around 14,000 households had Green Deal Plans during the same period.

Green Deal Home Improvement Fund paid more than 35,500 vouchers with a value of £154.4 million. The scheme has now ended.
