Wind generation is expected to be around 1.8MW today.

It has dropped by 600MW, according to npower’s daily market report.

Nuclear is providing 25% of the energy mix and CCGT is contributing 53% of the stack.

Both the French and Dutch interconnectors are forecast to import near full capacity.

On the gas system, the linepack is forecast to close 20mcm long.

Sam Hill from the Optimisation Desk said: “The comfortable fundamentals have resulted in lower gas prices versus yesterday’s close. There has been no change to LNG shipments with just the two tankers scheduled to dock in the UK before the end of the month.”

Brent oil is trading at $49.3/bbl (£37.4/bbl).
