Do you think you can strut it with a guitar? If you have any hair left can you still gel it back? Are you able to get into ripped jeans and still fancy crowd surfing?

If that’s the case then you have the chance to belt out your favourite rock anthem or croon a ballad all for charity mate at a special battle of the bands held in September.

The RPI X Factor gig run by utilities consultancy company Gemserv, is open to anyone who is in the energy or utilities sector and is in a band or can form one.

The event has raised more than £20,000 over the past two years and this year its supporting two charities Mencap and City Gateway.

This years competition will be held at Cargo in London on September 20th so if you are interested send a demo tape to Gemserv and if you’re good enough your track will be voted for by the industry and whittled down to a shortlist of eight that will play on the night.

Party on dudes!
