Climate Change Minister Greg Barker is set to face two sets of parliamentary select committees over his controversial decision to cut the solar Feed-in Tariff so drastically, back in October.

Both Energy and Climate Change Committee and Environmental Audit Committee, chaired by Tim Yeo, will question the Minister this afternoon.

DECC announced that the change of the Feed-in Tariff would happen on the 12th December, arriving before the consultation closes on 23rd December and the department has faced fierce criticism from green groups and solar firms as a result. Some installers and green groups have pledged to take legal action against the government.
