UK offers up to £2m to support green finance in China

Proposals should be submitted by 29th June 2018

The UK has allocated up to £2 million for technical assistance activities to support green finance in China.

The BEIS International Climate Finance Technical Assistance programme aims to incentivise China’s transition to a more environmentally sustainable growth model through green finance.

BEIS International Climate Fund (ICF) is providing the funding for projects of up to one year, which should relate to one of the four pillars of the programme.

That includes more unified and harmonised green finance guidelines and standards, more transparent and responsible investment approaches that take into account climate-related financial risks, increased innovation in green finance products and practice models and furthering the UK-China green finance partnership.

Projects can receive funding between £150,000 and £500,000.

Proposals should be submitted by 29th June 2018.
