The funding is supporting teams of entrepreneurs, community organisers, non-profits and academic institutions working to achieve ‘energy justice’ in the national transition to clean energy

Projects will address air pollution reduction at scale and demonstrate electric transportation options in underserved communities

It is expected to help families and businesses ‘that have been left behind’ in the clean energy transition to reap the benefits of cheaper, renewable power and access to highly-skilled jobs
