Innovative British projects to make energy more clean, affordable and secure can apply for a share of £13 million.
The new round of Energy Catalyst funding from Innovate UK hopes to address issues of cost, emissions and security of supply, both in the UK and in developing countries.
There are three types of award, for projects at an early, mid or late stage of development.
Projects are able to attract up to 70% of their costs, which can vary from between £50,000 and £10 million across a one to three-year period.
The competition is co-funded by the Department for International Development, the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
This is the fifth round of the Energy Catalyst – more than 200 projects with a total value of £200 million have already been funded in the previous rounds.
The competition opens on the 24th of April 2017 and the deadline for registration is midday on the 21st of June 2017.
