Japan is apparently planning to kick-start a 50 trillion yen ($628 billion) green energy market by 2020.

The country has just brought in energy saving measures over the summer to cope with the loss of power from more than fifty nuclear power stations which were shut down after the Fukushima nuclear disaster last year.

Now the Government wants to push deregulation and bring in subsidies for renewable energy and low emission cars, according to a draft government growth strategy seen by Reuters.
