Solar installations in India have reached the 1GW mark, according to a new report.

The Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy published the data, which showed the nation had grid interactive solar installed capacity of 1,030.66MW, with most coming from the state of Gujarat.

Total renewable installations in India also crossed 25,000MW in the first quarter of the year totalling the country’s green energy to 25,409MW.

The Ministry has set a target of 4,125MW of additional power capacity for the current financial year.
