Location: North West

  • Responsible for running retail credit risk for one of the largest global energy producer / suppliers.
  • This role will take the lead on developing the retail credit risk framework in terms of all necessary measurements, controls, governance for the business, with responsibility for managing and motivating a team of credit risk analysts.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure successful development and reporting of credit risk measures e.g CVaR and expected loss
  • Robust implementation of business projects that impact risk indicators
  • Develop credit policy for each jurisdiction
  • Support the development of portfolio credit risk reporting
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders in an effective way
  • Drive development of credit automation workflow through system improvement
  • Manage complex credit risk projects
  • Support the design, implementation and operation of the methodologies that link strategic risk appetite to the credit risk appetite
  • Analyse strategic counterparties’ credit worthiness in order to approve or recommend appropriate credit limits and credit support

Skills / abilities required:

  • Significant experience in credit risk, ideally gained from within an energy firm or financial institution
  • Track record of success in running a team to create an effective working environment
  • Experience building and maintaining strong working relationships across different business units
  • Fluency in European languages beneficial
  • Degree educated in a relevant field (mathematical / finance related)
