Location: North West
- Responsible for running retail credit risk for one of the largest global energy producer / suppliers.
- This role will take the lead on developing the retail credit risk framework in terms of all necessary measurements, controls, governance for the business, with responsibility for managing and motivating a team of credit risk analysts.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure successful development and reporting of credit risk measures e.g CVaR and expected loss
- Robust implementation of business projects that impact risk indicators
- Develop credit policy for each jurisdiction
- Support the development of portfolio credit risk reporting
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders in an effective way
- Drive development of credit automation workflow through system improvement
- Manage complex credit risk projects
- Support the design, implementation and operation of the methodologies that link strategic risk appetite to the credit risk appetite
- Analyse strategic counterparties’ credit worthiness in order to approve or recommend appropriate credit limits and credit support
Skills / abilities required:
- Significant experience in credit risk, ideally gained from within an energy firm or financial institution
- Track record of success in running a team to create an effective working environment
- Experience building and maintaining strong working relationships across different business units
- Fluency in European languages beneficial
- Degree educated in a relevant field (mathematical / finance related)
