Rolls-Royce has signed an agreement with a Chinese company to provide instrumentation and control (I&C) integrated solutions to the global nuclear industry.

The deal has been agreed with CTEC, a subsidiary of China General Power Corporation, which provides full life-cycle and end-to-end digital I&C systems for nuclear power plants.

The two organisations plan to integrate their I&C technologies and expertise on selected projects in China and abroad.

Jiang Guojin, CTEC General Manager said: “The agreement will see us further strengthening our already strong partnership and leveraging our combined capabilities and expertise to develop safe, reliable and competitive nuclear I&C solutions for China and the world.”

Rolls-Royce’s I&C systems have been installed in more than 200 nuclear reactors worldwide.
