Jackdaw North Sea gas field
A campaign group says the increase in domestic gas production will do nothing to lower UK energy bills
Located nearly 250 kilometres east of Aberdeen, Scotland, the Jackdaw field is expected to come online by 2025
Activists said the action was sparked by the approval of Shell’s Jackdaw North Sea gas field
The Business Secretary has highlighted the need to be “realistic about our energy needs now”
The project is predicted to produce nearly 6.5% of the UK’s North Sea gas
