E.ON has picked a German island in the North Sea as base for one of its wind farm operations. The Amrumbank West offshore wind farm will have 80 Siemens wind turbines and generate a total of 288 MW. The news reinforces the view of UK Prime Minister David Cameron, who yesterday declared the North Sea was going to be ever more important for the offshore wind sector.
