Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a target driven Business Development Manager to join this Distribution Network Operator (DNO) selling into the Mass Transport segment. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for seeking new business opportunities in the Mass Transport segment (including Airports, Rail, Ports, Bus and Tram Links). You will develop and promote multiple energy solutions to optimise, integrate, and aggregate Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) with a focus on emerging technologies such as Battery Storage, Microgrids, Electric Vehicle infrastructure, Virtual Power Plants, DSM plus Distributed Generation. If you have demonstrable experience in this sector, the Business Development Manager could be the role for you!!!

Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for leading and acquiring sales growth through existing and new clients.
  • Develop sector analysis and action plan for target markets and sales channels to deliver growth.
  • Work with marketing to develop sales collateral for smart technologies.
  • Develop business models and systems, to recognise cost / benefit and manage project risks.
  • Accountable for client relationships regarding solutions and delivery plans to completion.
  • Lead governance process, negotiations and close of sales.
  • Develop partnerships with strategic market players and relevant smart technology businesses.
  • Interact internally to provide pricing input and T&Cs clarification during the proposal development.

 Skills and Experience Required

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in electrical, electronic, general engineering or similar.
  • Business development in the electricity sector and B2B sales and project delivery experience.
  • Understanding of new and emerging energy technology market and relevant market players.
  • Experience developing technical and commercial proposals to drive business development.
  • Able to work with internal stakeholders to deliver complete solutions, products and services.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in both physical infrastructure and consulting sales.
  • Experience in project lifecycles and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
