Lhyfe unveils plans for first UK green hydrogen project

Lhyfe has announced plans for its first UK project, a 20MW green hydrogen plant in Tyneside, aimed at supplying transportation sector

Energy firm Lhyfe has revealed its intentions to establish the UK’s first green hydrogen plant in Tyneside.

The proposed facility, named Lhyfe Wallsend, is slated to be located in North Tyneside and is expected to have an initial capacity of 20MW.

The plant aims to produce up to eight tonnes of green hydrogen daily, with the potential to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in industrial and transportation sectors.
