A drilling rig has sunk in Russia leaving many workers missing. According to reports, 14 members of the 67-strong crew were rescued. A further 16 bodies were found, meaning 37 workers were unaccounted for, said Reuters.

Allegedly the owner of the rig said a raft with survivors had been spotted, but the Government would not confirm the report.

The Kolskaya platform, owned by Arktikmorneftegazrazvedka, was built in Finland in 1985. Apparently Russian prosecutors are investigating the incident.
