Ofgem, the UK’s energy regulator, is preparing to announce a new energy price cap later this week.
The price cap sets the maximum amount that households can be charged for their energy use based on average spending.
Currently, the price cap is £1,928 annually, up £94 from the previous level.
Analysts forecast a potential decrease to around £1,635 for typical dual fuel households for April to June.
However, ongoing consultations could introduce additional factors affecting the final cap.
Consumers are advised to stay informed about potential changes in their energy bills.
