UK Power Networks and ubitricity have partnered to optimise electric vehicle charging by reducing demand during peak usage hours
It has also offered to cover a quarter of the cost of installation to help local authorities
The oil giant has bought the EV charging infrastructure provider ubitricity, which currently operates more than 2,700 charge point across the UK
The energy supplier will power all 1,800 public charging points in 10 local authorities, including Liverpool, Portsmouth and Westminster
It also unveiled the Honda e Prototype for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show today
