Avro Energy ordered to disclose financial information about its activities

Ofgem said failure to provide this information could potentially lead to a breach of the supplier’s licence conditions

Ofgem has ordered Avro Energy to provide financial and other information related to the company’s activities.

The energy market regulator said it requested the information on 19th August.

Ofgem ordered the company to act immediately upon the request and engage in “constructive discussions” about their financial projections.

Failure to provide the financial information could translate to a breach of Avro Energy’s licence conditions, Ofgem said.

It could also result in further enforcement, including a fine or a licence cancellation.

It is estimated that the company has currently 40,000 electricity and 30,000 gas customers.

ELN has contacted Avro Energy for a response.
